Humans are Bio-Electric Beings

The human organism, just like every other biological system within nature, relies heavily on electromagnetism to function properly.

Every cell in our bodies, every organ and as a result our bodies as a whole have, or produce electromagnetic fields of various field-strengths and frequencies.

Our heart for example emits an electromagnetic field that can be measured up to several meters beyond our physical bodies and the overall frequency of our brain's electromagnetic field indicates our mood, behavior and state of mind, or consciousness in any given situation through what is often referred to as brainwave activity measurable through ECG and EEG.

While we can measure, quantify and in some cases even qualitatively classify these various electromagnetic fields (like in the case of brainwave activity for example), we are far from a conclusive understanding of all their individual and systemic purposes, functions, or their relevance for the overall organism.

It seems quite obvious though, that all these fields have a reason and a purpose and that they are not just a meaningless byproduct of kinetic and biochemical activity within our bodies.

Energy and information is constantly being exchanged through and between the various electromagnetic fields of different structures in the body. Field-strengths and frequencies vary and are responsive to external/environmental and internal factors alike. This implies that our body's electromagnetic activity serves for internal communication processes, regulatory functions of all kinds and energy transmission in general.

The use of bio-electricity for internal communication processes becomes absolutely clear when we look at neural cells in the brain, the central nervous system and throughout the whole body. These are cells, or technically speaking "electric wires" that are specifically built to transmit electric signals over relatively long distances within an organism.

The interactions that seem to take place through the fields of cells, organs and potentially even whole organisms represent the biological version of what we technically call wireless data and energy transmission.

"Wired" transmission takes place through neurons, the microtubuli in the intracellular matrix and likely in all helical structures including our DNA.
